There is no public evidence that Giuliani and Martorano know each other. Giuliani spokesman Ted Goodman, in an email to CNBC, said "This is a lawsuit unrelated to us." CNBC requested comment from lawyers for Martorano, his wife, and the other defendants in both the Georgia lawsuit and a federal civil racketeering and fraud lawsuit in California related to the alleged skincare cream scam. In her ruling, the judge wrote that the plaintiff "has shown by a preponderance of the evidence that Konnektive Defendants deceived banks and credit card companies." "The Konnektive software was designed specifically for the purpose of facilitating automated bank fraud," according to the federal suit.

In his final judgment, dated February 22, the judge uses the Manhattan Trump Tower address for all six of these defendants — not the Florida addresses Trump claimed.

Tuesday, Trump and Cohen are expected to be face to face in a New York courtroom as Cohen delivers testimony as part of the New York attorney general’s civil fraud case against the former president. When Cohen takes the stand, he will face down a very angry Donald Trump. Cohen is expected to testify about meetings with former Trump Organization Chief Financial Officer Allen Weisselberg and Trump regarding Trump’s financial statements and net worth. Cohen has claimed there were meetings with Weisselberg and Trump about Trump’s net worth before the financial statements were filed. But the front-running GOP presidential primary candidate was there – and he was pissed. Yet Trump was seething for another reason altogether – or so he claimed: His mounting legal challenges were preventing him from campaigning. “Trump campaigning from a courtroom is so Trumpian,” says Tobe Berkovitz, associate professor of advertising emeritus at Boston University. Separately from the civil trial in New York focusing on fraud, Trump faces 91 criminal charges stemming from four state and federal cases. And like the mug shot, Trump’s presence in the courtroom this week gave his supporters something he can’t give them on the campaign trail – a physical representation of the system he claims is out to get him.

CNN —The former controller of the Trump Organization says that Eric Trump directed him to make certain decisions that led to the inflated valuations of several Trump properties. Jeff McConney, also a co-defendant of former President Donald Trump, Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., testified Friday as the first week of the civil fraud trial came to an end. (Attorneys for Eric Trump have argued he was not aware that any phone conversations with McConney were used to formulate value assets in the financial statements for Trump properties.) McConney testified that he did not know at the time that Trump had deeded away his right to develop the property beyond its use as a social club in 2005. He said he did this at the direction of Eric Trump, who oversaw the project.

Donald Trump asked a judge to delay his criminal classified documents trial in Florida from May until after the November 2024 presidential election, saying prosecutors are dragging their feet in sharing evidence with his lawyers. Trump's attorneys in a Wednesday night court filing also said prosecutors have "demanded a conflicting schedule" in special counsel Jack Smith's other federal criminal case against the former president, in Washington, D.C.Trump is charged in D.C. with illegally conspiring to reverse his 2020 election loss to President Joe Biden. “This race is quickly consolidating,” said GOP fundraiser Charles Moran, a Trump delegate in 2016 and 2020. California was home to the so-called Trump resistance during his time in office, and Trump often depicts California as representing all he sees wrong in America. That created a competitive environment where Democratic Rep. Nancy Pelosi ’s district in San Francisco awarded the same number of GOP delegates as a rural, conservative heartland district. The state party — strongly influenced by House Speaker Kevin McCarthy of Bakersfield, a Trump loyalist — “shifted everything to help Donald Trump,” Fleishman said. The California rules are expected to be challenged at a state party convention next week, though reversing course is seen as unlikely.

Former U.S. President Donald Trump delivers remarks during an event following his arraignment on classified document charges, at Trump National Golf Club, in Bedminster, New Jersey, U.S., June 13, 2023. A federal judge on Wednesday issued an order setting limits on where and how former President Donald Trump can discuss classified information with his defense lawyers for the criminal case where he is charged with retaining classified documents after leaving the White House. Cannon did not explicitly address a request by Trump to create a so-called Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility, or SCIF, at his Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach, Florida, so that he could discuss classified information there as he prepares for trial in the case. Smith had opposed that request, noting, among other things, that Mar-a-Lago is the scene of the alleged crime. Smith also had opposed Trump's request to be allowed to discuss classified information in his office at Mar-a-Lago or his office at his club in Bedminster, New Jersey.
